Event Description:

The Taste of Glen Ellyn is a five-day event that takes place in the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn, northwest of Main Street and the tracks on Glenwood Avenue and Crescent Boulevard. The annual event features a variety of live entertainment including nationally known performers, a community stage showcasing local youth groups and a back-to-school celebration. Enjoy all the event has to offer with festive foods, cold beverages, a business expo and carnival rides.

Featuring activities and carnival rides located next to the taste grounds. A portion of the proceeds of the carnival will fund a new scholarship program for local high school students.

Ticket Price $1.25 each. 20 Coupon Sheet $22.00. Each ride will take 3-7 tickets.

Back to School Celebration

The Taste of Glen Ellyn presents Back to School Day, Wednesday, August 11, featuring local Glen Ellyn schools from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. Special activities to get kids excited about the upcoming school year will be the highlight, including a “Silly Shower” staffed by principals and teachers, photo booth with free prints to take home, a story station for the youngest of learners, games, and more. Glen Ellyn schools will hold information tables to help celebrate and get your kids excited about going back to school!

Buck the Dog and big games with prizes. Sponsor: Glen Ellyn Bank & Trust
Silly Shower - 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sponsor: Marvelous Minds
Story Station 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sponsor: D41 Kids Foundation. Educators would read picture books to kids. Partnering with The Bookstore and the library.
Photo Booth 2 - 5 p.m. Sponsor: D41 Pictures taken will be printed as photo strips and given to participants for free on the spot.
