Member Spotlight
Sam began her professional career as a design assistant for a high-end kitchen and bath dealer in Kansas City, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience and developed a strong foundation in the design and construction process. She later went on to work as a designer at one of the premier kitchen and bath showrooms at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, where she specialized in designing luxury interior spaces ranging from contemporary to traditional home additions, remodels, and new construction.
Sam is currently a Senior Designer at Drury Design, where she has been creating thoughtfully designed kitchens and living spaces for the past ten years. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with many incredible clients, guiding them through the design process and helping transform their homes into spaces that are both beautiful and highly functional.
In 2021, Sam further advanced her expertise by earning her Kitchen and Bath Certification, strengthening her technical knowledge and commitment to excellence in the industry.
Sam’s work has also been recognized on a national stage. She was selected to design kitchen showcase vignettes for the 2016 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas and the 2016 Architectural Digest Design Show in New York City for Thermador Appliance Company. More recently, her Chicago Arts and Crafts Kitchen project received a Silver Award in the “Kitchens – $150,000 and more” category at Qualified Remodeler’s 2023 Master Design Awards, recognizing her thoughtful design approach and attention to detail.
Throughout her career, Sam has had the privilege of working with many incredible clients, collaborating closely with homeowners to bring their visions to life. Her background and experience allow her to immerse herself in every phase of a project—from the initial concept and design drawings to the final construction documents and installation.
She is deeply inspired by the personal nature of residential design.
“Every home’s architecture is different and each client has a vision. I have the wonderful job of using my creativity, skills, and knowledge to capture my client’s vision and create a space that they will love—both aesthetically and functionally.”
“For both my clients and me, the process is very personal. It’s incredibly rewarding to help develop the perfect plan, see it come together, and experience the joy on my clients’ faces when the project is complete.”
